The TTC, an Acrostic

Anyone who knows me knows that I have the worst possible luck with the TTC. Every now and then (more often than not nowadays), I get totally fed up with them and feel the need to rant.

Today, I tried to get to work
Operative word: tried
Really, I did
Other than soaking my shoes,
Nothing else went horribly awry, except…
The TTC
OMG!

Try as hard as I might
Rain seems to bring public transit to a halt
Any early departure negated
Now yet another set of parents think I’m irresponsible
Since I’ve managed to be late three weeks in a row
I hate that I cannot do anything about punctuality
Time is not mine to control

Could I not just take an earlier bus and give myself more leeway?
Only if said bus decides to show
My experience has shown that the schedules are all random
Maybe I should just give up and buy a car?
I had that idea ages ago
So what’s the hold-up?
Insurance. I can’t seem to find any company that will take me
Oops, I almost fell over standing on a train. Did I mention they can’t drive properly?
No luck today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
