Hi,
I’m Alcina. I recently changed the style theme for my blog and it suddenly decided I needed an About page. As I can’t seem to hide it anymore, I feel the need to put something here instead of the “This is a sample About page” message.
About Me:
I think I am intelligent, observant, and funny in my lack of apparent interest in learning proper social skills (like being too honest and blunt). I’ve been told I’m cute (I make chipmunk faces when I’m surprised), *special* (not in the way your mom says it to you, but the “um, is she okay?” kinda way), and OC (as in OCD, which is probably just true).
I run my own music and movement studio called Scherzo, so I spend most of my time teaching private music lessons, leading Nia Dance Fitness classes, and swing dancing. I love that I get paid to do something I truly enjoy.
About This Blog:
This is mostly a place where I can just post random thoughts about life and my role in it. Things that I observe, what I’m feeling, things that pop into my head. I’ll admit. It’s pretty random.
The frequency of posts definitely fluctuates depending on the busyness of my schedule. I make promises to myself to blog regularly, which I do for a bit, and then leave it for six months at a time when I’m out running about all day doing actual real life stuff. I’m not the type of person who is on the computer all the time. I was born just before that generation and it still boggles my mind that my sister can spend all day in front of the tiny laptop screen.
I’m pretty horrible with technology, so half the time I actually just cross my fingers and hope the posts show up (then I realize I should hit the “Publish” button).
